The teeth bit where they were bloodily falling out, that freaked me out big time. I was literally taking peeks of the screen from behind my fingers until it was over. The thought of teeth just falling out is something I have had nightmares about before. It may result from the $1700+ dental bills last year though. Don't want to do that again.
Then the maggots. Of course, there were maggots. Should I mention I have a maggot fear as well? Just call me Mrs. Monk. It started as a general disgust after watching an X-Files episode (the one with the Cuban detention center) while eating a cup of Lipton chicken noodle soup. It go worse after I got my AS in Crime Scene Technology. Apparently, there is a breed of maggot that jumps. Yes, JUMPS. Think about that the next time some show has maggots.
Back to the show. Sorry for the detour. Were the maggots simply a means of choking him? Or did they have a symbolism of rot and decay so his badness would kill him? I missed a few things with my eyes covered again.
What is up with Jensen Ackles hair? It started off a little bushy. You know something you could get a little grip on. Now he is high and tight. Don't get me wrong. He is still highly lust worthy (there is something about his forearms that is hot to me now which means I can no longer make fun of J for her adoration of John Mayer's forearms because I get it). I just miss the longer length and wonder why he went this direction.
When they went to the shot of the guys driving down that dark, deserted road I had one thought, well, plea really. Not the car. Please, not the car. Thankfully, they only had it stall out for a bit. I worry about the car. The wreck at the end of season 1 about killed me. I think I lust after that car more than I lust after Jensen. I would be willing to learn how to fix cars myself if I had that Impala. Now that says something because I'm the person who will hassle her father into changing her oil.
Sam's little speech about now that Dean is leaving, he will have to become like Dean to be able to do the job was heartbreaking. Dean has been mother, father, and best friend to him his entire life and soon, Dean will be gone after managing to cheat Death twice. I'm not sure who I feel for more; Sam for the fact he will be losing the most important person in his life, or Dean who will have to leave the one person he cares the most for, and who he has moved heaven and earth to protect, to his own defenses.
Ruby's past was not as big a surprise as I thought it was going to be. It was almost expected for how the storyline has flown thus far.
Ruby: That's what hell is, forgetting what you are.
Synopsis: Sam and Dean are directed to a town where there was a suspicious death that turned out to be witchcraft. The witch who was the killer was then killed by witchcraft. In stopping others from dying the same way, they find a major demon is at the root of the coven and that demon is the reason Ruby is now a demon. Dean comes to the realization that he and Ruby, who he has strongly disliked to this point, have a great deal in common. He will soon become like she is.
I'll try to have quotes for this episode soon.
