Comments on the episode:
"love at first geek" If that hadn't come from a tv show, that would so be on one of the shirts at my CafePress store. How much do you love that phrase? And calling the command post "Eagles Nest 1" is hysterically pretentious. This episode had me laughing almost as much as Mystery Spot, Bad Day at Black Rock and Hell House. Particularly the look on Dean's face when they hold the EMF reader up to him when he pulls the box from the safe.
That is one sick puppy bringing human remains home to play. I think I'm becoming jaded. My response to the play toys was a shrug. I don't know if it is the criminal justice degree or the fact I read and watch so many strange things, but things like that just don't surprise me anymore.
And, of course, Sam disappears. Dean then gets to have his dawning realization of this was a lonely, paranoid nutter from the cold war, he's going to have a bomb shelter. And is that a party hat they're all wearing? Why is that so funny? Because, really, it is.
Hearing Spruce say, "bom chicka wa wa," as Maggie and Harry were making out was priceless.
"Be gay for that poor dead intern, you got to send him into the light." Favorite line.
Very nice use of the electromagnet. Mean, techy and funny all at the same time.
Synopsis: The Winchester boys stop to check out a haunted house and stumble into the filmed 'investigation' by a few familiar faces. They all become trapped in the house and need to face down the spirit before they can leave.
