This is from the season finale.
I loved the recap at the start. It did a great job of encompassing their bad times. Plus, "Carry On, My Wayward Son" by Kansas is one of my favorite songs.
I have to ask this. What is up with Dean saying, "gank," all the time? I had never heard that before this show and he seems to be using it multiple times every episode for the past few. Yes, I know, I led a deprived live never having heard someone say, "ganked" before this. That said deprived, not depraved. Get your mind out of the gutter.
Finally, one of them recognized the pattern; the whole sacrifice themselves for the other thing. He certainly knows his brother, doesn't he? Very good job of anticipating that Sammy was going to summon Ruby. I wonder why it is so important to her that he use his powers. Does she really want him to win or is there another outcome? Dean just had to double check where the devil's trap was on the ceiling before hitting Ruby. Lucky she didn't catch it but very nice forethought.
Demon shore leave is a sick little trip, don't you think? She was getting some definite glee from screwing with that family. Cute little girl, threat, cute little girl.
That whole Bon Jovi rocks some times, and singing along do "Wanted Dead or Alive" looked like it was just a distraction for Sam to me. While I'm not going to knock the song, I have it on my iPod myself, it was a little strange that Dean, who has professed a dislike of the band, would suddenly like it. Y'all saw that look, didn't you? The one after Sam got into the song and Dean stopped singing.
Mr. Hagar? Dean, dude...
Sam, honey, you don't wipe the knife on your own sleeve after pulling it from a dead body. That gives another tie to you. Wipe it on the dead guy. They're already going to know what shape the knife is from the wound. Might as well not get yourself any dirtier.
Ruby is very much a my way or no way girl. Must be another reason why she doesn't get along with Dean much.
I'm assuming everyone else noticed that the light thing Lilith did at the end did not work on Sam and that when she tried to hold him back with her powers, it did not work. Is this Sam coming into his own powers? Did Bobby find away to lessen her? Was this a last save by Ruby?
Dean screaming for Sam at the end was heartbreaking.
Synopsis: Dean and Sam find where Lilith is hiding, and with the knife Dean took from Ruby, went after her. It is a bold effort but will it all be able to save Dean in the end?
