Season 2, Episode 12
An eclipse has some unusual effects while Sally tries to re-befriend Zoe, Josh gets ready to make his relationship with Julia public, and Aidan gets down to the business of living under the radar.
Aidan: The turn around on this particular betrayal is a little fast even for you.
Aidan: Freedom on her terms is no freedom at all.
Julia: I loved you enough, Josh. You just never believed it.
Comments:
1) I think I'm just going to consider Kyle Schmid as part of the regular cast of the show and not list him as a guest star. He's been in at least half of the episodes for the season.
2) For everyone who hasn't been watching because they think this is just a remake of the British version, really needs to give Being Human (Syfy) another shot. Beyond the first 3 or 4 episodes of the first season, this version is uniquely its own. True I haven't watched the UK version since the third season (its been renewed for season 4), but for the parts I watched, they were nothing like this.
3) The effects of the partial eclipse were an unexpected and fantastic plot device to allow for more character growth.

4) Re: Henry [ Okay, I was wrong last week on my prediction for what would happen with Aidan and Henry. I hadn't imagined that this would all be planned out as part of the get away. I should have known better. ]
5) Re: Danny [ Limbo might have actually changed Danny for the better. He at least seems to recognize that what he did to Sally (while she was alive, while she was dead, and while they both were dead) was wrong. Not that I think this excuses anything. He was still an abusive and murderous bastard. ]
6) Re: Josh and Julia [ Kudos for his sacking up and getting ready to tell Julia about being a werewolf. How did he not realize that he was talking to her ghost though? You'd think it would be a little more noticeable. You have to wonder how many people he talks to in the hospital are ghosts and not living then. I know. I know. That was all to further the plot, screw making sense or being consistent. That has to be a heartbreaking thing for him when he makes peace with loving her while a wolf and then losing her. I might have also been wrong about Julia (I hate saying that). Her door came so quickly because whe was at peace and had no unfinished business after figuring out why Josh left before.]
7) Re: Aidan [ I'm hoping he'll be back in town for the final episode of the season. He has no real reason to run now that Suren has returned. ]
8) Re: Everyone [ And now they're all back to being alone and disappointed. ]
9) Remember next week is the season 2 finale. After that, we'll have to wait until next year for more Being Human entertainment.
Season 2, Episode 13
An old flame of Chris's need help holding on to her land. Will she be able to draw him into staying with her when the job is done? Kay Lenz guest stars.
Ella: Still the handsomest drunk guy I ever knew.
Chris: And still the prettiest liar I ever met.
Josiah: Humility. That's the lesson of this game.
Josiah: It's the kind of game you play with your worst enemy which turns out to be yourself.
Comments:
1) Holy Fatal Attraction Batman! I had entirely forgotten that's how the series ended. It's actually rather impressive how she managed to stalk him for that long without anyone knowing (at a time when women didn't have much power). Doesn't make it less creepy though. She changed the course of his entire life with the death of Sarah and Adam yet still thinks they'll be together again someday. Wow. And this is one of the major ways stalkers are so very scary and dangerous. Nothing will change their delusion. 2) This actually was a good place for the series to end though I wish it had gone on longer. They got the second season purely through grassroots fan support and did a good job of wrapping up most of the lose ends without completely ending any storylines.
Season 2, Episode 12
An advance team comes to town before the territorial governor's speech opposing statehood (which Mary has been a staunch supporter of) and Buck falls for the charming coordinator. Meanwhile a well known assassin is found dead in his hotel room with $10,000 in cash which proves to be more temptation than Ezra can handle.
Ezra: However did I allow myself to fall into a career in law enforcement?
Buck: You know there's something really wrong if I'm listening to you about women.
Ezra: Oh, I'm not going in there. If I die, I'd rather hang.
Comments:
You've got to give Ezra credit. He stopped himself from leaving town with the money when he spotted the second assassin and stepped in, at great danger to himself, to help. Wasn't that look on his face when he saw himself in the mirror while taking the money heartbreaking? He knew it was wrong and not who he wanted to be, but just couldn't help himself.
Season 2, Episode 11
A pair of female bounty hunters passes through town on the trail of a gang wanted for robbery. There's more going on that what they let on though. Rebecca Cross, Ashlee Levitch, and Robert Vaughn guest star.
Kate: We thought about being wives and mothers, but half of them get beat and the other half die in childbirth. Figured bounty hunting was safer.
Kate: Men are such babies about pain.
Comments:
1) I swear JD brings so much of his pain and troubles on himself. What the hell is his problem with women? He really doesn't respect them or their abilities no matter what proof of them he has been shown. It's not like he's not around strong women either, Mary, Nettie, Maude and Casey are all strong and confident in their abilities. That boy is just stump stupid when it comes to women.
2) Not that they other guys were much better. "Watch out for the girls." They showed no respect for for Kate and Maddie's skills (the bounty hunters) while they were working on the guy's side, but the moment they went the other direction, now they take the skills seriously. Not saying they had any major skills, but they were dismissed out of had while they were on the same side.
3) All in all the Seven seem to respect a woman's abilities once they get to know them except for JD who is dumber than a box of hair in that area. He deserves no sympathy for the consequences of that. No, I really don't like JD.
4) Kate's right, by the way. Even now most professions are safer than childbirth. Most first world countries still have a criminally high maternal mortality rate. While it has dropped some since the late 1800s, it's on the rise again.
