Most hatred is based on fear, one way or another. Yeah. I wrapped myself in anger, with a dash of hate, and at the bottom of it all was an icy center of pure terror.” ― Laurell K. Hamilton, Guilty Pleasures

The Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center is a mass of planes since the start of avaition. I'm not sure which this one is beyond probably WWII.
Want to feel like a pretty, sparkly merperson (hey, everyone deserves a chance to feel sparkly and special) every time you step into a shower or bath? Check out this fantastical shower curtain from Monika Strigel on Society6. It's a spangly, spanking good time. You can even get the pattern in a rug.

Looking straight at the nose of the space shuttle Discovery at Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center. (The Atlantis display at Kennedy Space Center is more awe-inspiring. This one is kind of plain.)

WWII Planes at the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center as part of the National Air and Space Museum. I know the one with the propellers facing you is a F4U Corsair (thanks to watching too much Black Sheep Squadron with my father as a kid). The other might be a P40 Warhawk as flown by Chennault's Flying Tigers in China.
Btw, the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center is a giant hanger near Dulles airport that houses many of the planes preserved by the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum. It's worth a trip out.
