Audrey is convinced people are playing her when they insist it's Christmas Eve in July, but when Havenites start disappearing and no one else remembers them things become serious. Could the troubles be wrecking the halls?

The dead are coming back and asking for the living to take revenge. Will those Nathan and Duke see be able to explain more about the troubles? Tahmoh Penikett guest stars.

Audrey: So what do you think? Clones? Ghosts? Zombies are trendy.

 

Nathan: I picked up your pieces, put them in a cooler, buried you on Goose Hill.

Nathan: Blue one.
Chief: What a waste of a good cooler.

Comments:
The first time I saw this episode I was shocked when they showed Nathan's tattoo and went back to watch previous episodes to see if he even had his sleeves rolled up that far. Yes, his sleeves are normally rolled like that. When I watched it a second time, I looked closer and it is raised like it's a new tat (picture further down). Is it the symbol of the troubled? Did he get it after the meeting (even knowing how Duke would react)? Did Duke just imagine it?

This caused me to start thinking that maybe Nathan (as the leader of the troubled) and Duke (hereditary killer of the troubled) are meant to work together to end the troubles for good and someone wants to prevent that (thus leaving Duke's necklace at Audrey's after she was taken).

When a young man flees into the woods and is feared taken by a serial killer, Audrey, Nathan, Dwight, Dave, Vince and the boy's father hike in to find him. There they come across Duke, the Rev, and his followers who think the killer is troubled. Someone is troubled, but not who they think. Adam Copeland guest stars.

Nathan: Third cup of coffee.

Nathan: You sleeping at all?
Audrey: Um, a couple of hours a night. I'm good though. Getting a lot of stuff done. You?

Audrey: You did just get demoted, there was anarchy at the police station, and the new police died right in front of you.

Audrey: Dwight's cleaning the guy. I guess when you look like a Viking, people just believe what you tell them.

Comments:
I'll say it again. For me, this show is all about the relationship Nathan and Duke share. As much as I like Emily Rose, the real chemistry here is between Lucas Bryant and Eric Balfour. Also, I adore Adam Copeland as Dwight.

Season 2, Episode 9

 

When an officer dies mysteriously with blackened veins, the police station is put on lockdown by the new chief as others start developing symptoms. Jason Priestley, Adam Copeland, and Dylan Neal guest star.

Audrey: Really? You're a scientist. Tell me what works faster: your trouble or a bullet?

 

Dwight: Bullets, uh, they tend to find me. It's a long story.

1) A Dwight episode! What? I like Dwight and am getting rather fond of the actor who plays him, Adam Copeland.

A Haven banker has a problem. He is a serial killer, but not in the traditional sense. His victims (well most of them) are his own clones. Christian de la Fuente guest stars.

Duke: I'm secretly afraid of bananas. I've never been windsurfing naked. And deep down in my heart, I know that Bigfoot is real.

1) What is going on with all the ugly, old man sweaters Duke wears?
2) Love Lucas Bryant in this one. It takes some skill to dance that horridly, and he gave it his all.

A man washes up dead and his young son is missing. Audrey and Nathan investigate a compound outside of town, but the Reverend's interference puts lives in danger.

Season 2, Episode 6

 

Audrey has a long awaited day off with Chris , but when a child is killed, Audrey wakes up to the same day. Can she stop the day from repeating and save all those she cares for?

Audrey: I especially love the part when you went on for a half hour about the endangered tidewater mucket.
Chris: Hey, if they're going to blindly love me, at least they're going to learn something.

 

Nathan: So you've lived this day before?
Audrey: Yeah.

Comments:
1)Yes, I had to look up tidewater mucket to make sure I heard it right.
2) I love the relationship Audrey and Nathan have (ignoring his horribly heartbreaking puppy dog mooning over her). The moment where she checks his coffee to make sure it's safe to drink is a good illustration of it.
3) For a cop, she really isn't the calmest person in a crisis. Holy stand there screaming and not doing anything.
4) I love Groundhog Day homages. They frequently turn out to me my favorite episodes of a series.
5) Did you spot the @VinceHaven poster? I'll try to include screen captures of the ones I spot.
6) Poor Duke. Nathan really enjoyed his schadenfreude moment when he explained Chris's trouble to him.

Season 2, Episode 5

 

Audrey starts her first date with Chris Brody off by dragging him along while she drops off the marriage license for the joining of two prominent, but warring, Haven families. She, Chris Duke, Evi and the families become trapped on site while Nathan is trapped when he tries to rescue Dave and Vince from a breakdown.

Chris: As your friendly, neighborhood scientist, don't touch the goo.

 

Duke: Tell me you have a plan.
Audrey: Why would I need a plan? I've got you.
Duke: True.

Comments:
1) Poor Nathan. He's starting to face the consequences of not telling Audrey how he feels. And I think Chris and Evi got a good look at how Duke feels for Audrey. I swear this is the most interesting love triangle (square?). Duke and Nathan are in love with her. Chris is falling for her. Audrey, meanwhile, doesn't have a clue.
2) I like the integration of Twitter into the show. Dave and Vince really are the best characters to test the idea out on. The random signs are a great touch.
3) Yes, I am following both of them on Twitter myself.
