Stop SOPA/PIPA

What will you find when you go online? Not much of anything if MPAA, RIAA, and Congress have anything to say about it which is being demonstrated today by Wikipedia, Reddit, and others.

 

 

 

 

I urge all of you to call, email and tweet your congresspeople. You can look up their information at: usa.gov. Petition are also available for signing at the links below. Please join myself and millions of others in letting our government know that we are against this attempted suppression of free speech. There are better ways to prevent online piracy and a solution can be reached with the help of the tech industry rather than on the money and pressure of the entertainment industry.

Sorry for posting delays

Sorry for the delay with everything. My laptop is having the hard drive replaced and it's taking longer than expected to image it. I'd never realized how reliant I was on it until yesterday morning. I can get an Hump Day quote up today, but until it's back, I don't have access to do TV qote postings.

This will also teach me not to store my passwords in Firefox. I've had to reset this one, Twitter and Facebook already. Mea culpa on that since I nag students about doing it.

Tomorrow, May 28th, Noah will be having a long and potentially difficult surgery to make repairs on his spine.  Noah is the 13 year old grandson of a woman who is a childhood friend of someone I greatly admire (roundabout description there, wasn't it).  He lives with Cerebral Palsy, borderline Autism and Scoliosis. He is wheelchair bound and non-verbal but loves to get mail.  As a pick me up for him, his family is holding a card drive to make him feel better after surgery.  He loves orange, dogs, books, the Clemson Tigers, playing baseball, and the Beatles.  You can send cards to:

First, the apology

I got caught up with proctoring tests, collecting keys and training professors at work last week, as well as with homework for my classes and completely forgot to post a Hump Day Quote or a Friday Song.
